Train Sim 6: ScotRail

I've just started using Train Sim, having downloaded Train Sim 6.

Main reason was wanting ScotRail. So I've purchased Glasgow to Edinburgh, Cathcart Circle & Class 380 Add Ons.

On Class 385, I am able to make On Board announcements. Is this possible on the 380? And, if so, how?

Secondly, I'm not sure how this works to be honest, but how do Train Sim add Routes? I'd love to see Ayrshire added. In my opinion, it'd make sense. 380 Exists. Glasgow Central Exists. And it's varied Terminals (Ardrossan Harbour/Largs/Ayr) would provide some good gameplay. You could easily add Gourock & Wemyss Bay for more variety.

If you're talking about Train Sim World 6, the 380 doesn't have announcements.

Routes get added when a developer creates them and the publisher, Dovetail Games, releases them.

They have a forum where you can find out about upcoming releases.

If you like Scot Rail, there's also the Fife Circle route which I quite enjoy.

I don't think there's any pattern to what they add but it tends to be bigger lines, they publish roadmaps to show what releases are coming:

I got into TSW6 recently and picked up the Scottish routes when they were on sale a couple of months ago. Cathcart Line is the best of the three, in my opinion. The frequent stops almost make it feel like a metro line so you're always busy doing something. I also quite like the Fife Circle since there's a bit of variety from the two branches, though would be cool if it got updated to run a Levenmouth service via Dunfermline. The class 158 add-on is worth getting for the extra timetable layer.

The Edinburgh to Glasgow line feels a bit dull by comparison. It's basically flat bar the tunnel into Queen Street itself so it's a lot of flicking on the throttle every now and then to top your speed up. I'm also not a huge fan of the layout of the class 385 cab layout. Feels very crowded.

I don't mind the Edinburgh - Glasgow route as I generally prefer the higher speed routes yet with a few stops in between.
Although if I'm driving the 385, I find the view so terrible I park the external camera on the nose and drive from there
About platform height and you get a good sense of speed.
