So I submitted a claim for Delay Repay for a journey starting at Cleethorpes that I made on an advance ticket on the evening of last Tuesday 19th. Several trains were cancelled due to infrastructure problems.

I understand that they introduced the Delay Repay scheme under the new franchise. When can I expect a response?

Their scheme should tell you when - normally 28 days but if there were many delays and many people claiming then it may take a bit longer

I have made two online claims recently, both in respect of Off Peak tickets. In one case, I was sent an acceptance letter after 10 days and received the cheque about a week later. In the other, the acceptance letter took 15 days and I have not yet received the cheque after another 10 days - the letter promised it within the next 15 working days, which will be 5 weeks after the claim.

Edit: second cheque eventually received 27 days after the claim.

I also recently (Sunday) made an online claim with TPE, and am a bit suprised that they've not e-mailed to acknowledge receipt of the claim, was that your experience too?

I'm just a wee paranoid that I may have entred my e-mail wrong or something...

Yep, no email back.

Thanks for clarifying, Clip.

My previous delay repay claims from TPE I've heard nothing until the actual compensation has arrived through the post, so nothing really to worry about.
