Also clearly they've had to update the display software to get it to display the TM Travel name, so why not just program in the correct route numbers and destinations? All seems rather unprofessional.
No they haven’t, notts+derbys blinds all have ‘on hire to…..’ just for the odd occasion.

I believe the equipment on them deckers isn’t widely available, so TM won’t have the software for such vehicles. I do agree that paper in the windscreen isn’t the smartest, but it’ll do.

The one I saw didn't even have paper in the windscreen as far as I could tell. Maybe it'd fallen off...

A very tired-looking N&D 11 was running for TM in Sheffield on Friday - no route number displayed. Earlier in the week there was an all-darkish-red double decker in the yard at Meadow Road, Derby so maybe one of TM’s is down there (for?).

I saw an expired Notts and Derby being worked on in a bus lay-by in Totley about 10 days ago. Probably should have been on a 218.

The basic half hourly timetable would be good at this time of the year but last time I tried catching one from Sheffield Interchange I had to wait over an hour. One cancelled the next late. A happy multinational top deck when it finally left.

It was discussed briefly in one of the other Wellglade threads but I don't blame anyone for missing it as it's difficult to keep track at the moment.
11, 12 and 13 are all at TM Travel now as loans to cover bus shortages. Looks like Derby are also helping with maintenance with Solo 1169 receiving work there

I believe I passed this on Thursday evening, parked on the side of the road with the rear open and someone poking around inside. I did have a quick check on bustimes and it seemed to carry on after a short delay so presumably nothing major.

I saw it Friday parked in the corner of the garage, so I’m assuming somethings gone wrong with it.

Probably doesn't like the Derbyshire hills. It was near Barbrook stone circle so pretty much the highest bit of the route. Looking at the return journey it seemed to lose a lot of time even though it's mostly down hill. Has been out since but only one run each day.

On 218 this afternoon. Looked smarter than most of the assorted types and colours turned out by TM.

B9s in general are very capable vehicles, most are fitted with ZF however the notts+derby ones have Voith gearboxes, I wonder if that makes a difference with performance etc.

Ah, it was actually 1178 I saw which still has the original Notts and Derby fleet number 11 discernible above the door - and is very tired looking in old ND livery

So it seems two N & D vehicles are displaying a fleet number 11 over the door?

I don't recall which vehicle I was on recently coming up Baslow hill but it certainly found it hard work. The 218 for a short period had its own dedicated fleet, albeit still older vehicles painted up. Nowadays anything goes, and quite often doesn't go.

Confirmed - 1178 (fleet number on rear) has 11, its former N&D number, over the door. And looks rather shabby with several red panels.IMG_4122.jpegIMG_4123.jpeg

The roof is the worst part, sure there was a hole at one point. 1178 I believe was swapped with a coach as the Omnidekka was more useful than a coach. It was painted in Notts & Derby livery. The only things changed were the fleet number & TM logos put on it.

Report of TM Travel Enviro 200MMC 274 on Derby Meadow Road depot today. Most probably arrived for MOT, which expires in a few days.

Apologies if already covered. Does anyone know what bus it is, that is actually tracking as 1401 at TM Travel? I see 1401 every time I am in Derby so clearly it isn't that bus. Seems to be some TM Travel drivers 'on loan' to Trentbarton ' at Derby.

A few years ago, TM buses were treated in a similar way to Trent's, branded routes, refreshed interiors and so on, so why are they in such a state now? Most buses are well over 10 years old, totally knackered, running around in scruffy debranded Lothian/Trent liveries with interiors that feel like they haven't been touched in years. Where did it all go wrong?

I'd say, lack of profit since COVID. If you think about it, Trentbarton would normally have invested heavily in new buses, displacing half life buses to lesser routes. Instead, they seem to be refurbishing 16 year old buses for their own use. Other vehicles seem to carry on until they implode. I wonder what is happening with TM Travel 467/469/1172, at Derby. Don't usually see many TM Travel buses in for work; just MOT.

Scania /East Lancs 1172 which spent time on the pits at Meadow Road Derby, is reportedly withdrawn, dumped back at TM Travel. Solos 467 and 469 still at Derby; 469 now with no engine . I've heard Trentbarton Scanias 662/663/669 may soon be heading to TM Travel. Clearly Volvo 739 needs to return first. No news on the next 3 Versas due for TM Travel.
