it looks like the 14.20 from Edinburgh to Biggar is gone while the 18.35 has gone to 19.15,
There have always journeys in each direction that omitted Penicuik. Indeed once upon a time all Dumfries journeys stayed on the A702.I notice that several of the journeys stay on the A702, omitting Penicuik and saving over 10 minutes.
Well I take back what I said in post #58. A surprise but a welcome addition for sure. I’d assume these are the 10.8m versions then.An article in the Peeblesshire News of 17th March has an article on the 101/102 in which Houston’s are quoted as having 3 Volvo/MCV on order for delivery late May for this route. It would appear that they will use vehicles from their existing fleet meantime. I only hope these will be big enough to cope with the numbers travelling on some journeys, especially at peak times as I think they only have two or three E200 or Solos.
Hopefully longer wheelbase ones unlike JMB or Whitelaws.Well I take back what I said in post #58. A surprise but a welcome addition for sure. I’d assume these are the 10.8m versions then.
They have a few PSVAR coaches as well so they may as well be put into action for the time being too. There have always journeys in each direction that omitted Penicuik. Indeed once upon a time all Dumfries journeys stayed on the A702.

Houston’s have acquired a couple of Volvo B7LRE/MCV from Pulham’s, Bourton on Water for the 101/102 so with the new buses due May, all journeys on these routes can be operated with Volvos.Hopefully longer wheelbase ones unlike JMB or Whitelaws.
Indeed. KP12 BUS and WP12 BUS .Houston’s have acquired a couple of Volvo B7LRE/MCV from Pulham’s, Bourton on Water for the 101/102 so with the new buses due May, all journeys on these routes can be operated with Volvos.
From images it looks like these ones have the same seats that dealer spec eVoRas have, which look somewhat similar to smartseats.I'm a big fan of Volvo when it comes to buses so this does sound like a positive start. I shall be deliberately using the new service at some point in the next couple of months so we'll be able to share my views and opinions. I hope however that these 2nd hand ones have high back seats
