Pathfinders Eden Belle ran on the 34th JUly 2004 with English Electric Class 50s 50031 Hood and 50049 Defiance as motive power.
The train is seen at Dawlish on both the outward and return journey.

I was on that train - splashed out on the dining option.

If l remember correctly was in the last carriage on the way to Par and the leading coach on the return, with quite a strong smell of diesel exhaust.

Excellent cooked breakfast on the way down, followed by a light lunch of Cornish Pasty and peas. Dinner on the return trip was Roast Rump of lamb. All very nice . Doesn’t seem like it was 18 years ago tbough.
