Tracked usually ok and cheaper. If you have time you can do tracked postage second class iirc.

Gauranteed next day delivery tracked gets pricey but you’d have to use it if you are hard up against a deadline from them.

I suggest you use Royal Mail 'Signed For'. You can use 'Signed For' when sending both 1st class and 2nd class. it's relatively inexpensive, £1.70 in addition to the normal postage cost and means you can see if the item has been delivered.

The Post Office will try and sell you 'Special Delivery' which will guarantee next day delivery. It's a good service but it costs - a minimum of £8.35. You don't need this, what you're sending isn't valuable, you just want to know it's been delivered.
