TFL Single Decker Bus Routes

Hi All,

I'm looking to compile a list of all TFL bus routes that are operated by single decker buses. If you can possibly help me compile this or point me towards a pre-existing list, I'd be grateful.

The resource ERT47 links to is the best one out there. The 'operational details' page lists routes by type of vehicle operated and you can work it out from there.

Can I ask whether you think this is a good use of public money given that as has already been pointed out this information can readily be found on the web? See for example http://www.londonbusroutes.net/details.htm

Thanks all. Deltic, the FOI was made before I saw the posts on here, it was made directly after my initial posting. TfL will have already allocated a budget to FOI requests and subsequent costs, I do not believe that this claim will use much of the tax payer's money. It is a reasonable request for an official document listing single deck bus routes, this should be no problem for TfL to provide - it matters not, to me, if an external body has independently compiled a similar list.

Add H26 to that list. I should know - I've used it enough!

In fact, pretty much everything in Feltham is single-deck. The only deckers you will find can be found on the 90, and then they're in the minority.

Yes, was converted back to double-deck operation in 2009, after Dennis Darts. Volvo B7/Presidents run the route now, and even Enviro 400s appear now and again. Here is TE880 (LK 08 DXR) on the 107 to New Barnet.

Not surprised the 411 is now single-decked. Back when it was my regular ride the Olympians and occasional Metrobuses were vastly over-capacity. I imagine it won't have grown much either, being a cross-boundary route that terminates at Kingston!

Seems an odd thing to do after asking whether the information was already available.

I know that when I get an FOI request my normal job stops until I've answered it.

I agree. I don't understand this insistence on using FOI requests. Those responsible, don't only have to respond to the query but need to do the recording required to show that they are complying with the legislation. Why not just ask, giving reason for requiring the information and turn to FOIA if you don't get a response.

Suggesting that responding to FOI requests is included in the budget so it should be used is as the same as suggesting you don't need to pay council tax because councils make provision non-payment.
