Taking alternative route after cancellation

My 0523 train Hereford - Paddington has been cancelled. Text from LNER (just the ticket provider in this case) states "use your ticket for another service." However, the advance ticket states "AP Evesham".

I need to take the TfW 0530 and change at Newport to get to Paddington, and onwards to Heathrow, at the required time. Will taking this route be acceptable without changing ticket?
