SWR - journey planner incorrect for 25/03

This Saturday I am going to London (from Eastleigh). There are engineering works and the journey planners are showing journies that cannot exist. I am booked on the 23:35 WAT-ESL direct that will not run. I keep checking and asking and still cannot be given an itinerary. This seems crazy 2 days out. What can I do?
I have wiggle room on the way up but guessing not much on the way back!

I know, just not sure if there will actually be connections that late!
They have now said journey planner will be updated by tomorrow morning.

I think it's the same for the Sunday because as it stands the smaller stations between Basingstoke & Salisbury have an hourly stopping service until the 17;12 Reading to Salisbury then the next service which is shown to call being the 23;07 Basingstoke to Salisbury (a 5 and a half hour gap).

Likewise heading towards Basingstoke a gap between the 1544 Salisbury to Reading & 1825 Exeter St Davids to Basingstoke (4 and a half hour gap). I can only presume the trains which would have formed what have been the 17:45-20;45 Waterloo to Salisbury haven't been added. Not sure if SWR will run those to/from Reading like they have done in the past when Basingstoke - Woking has been closed on a Sunday to help spread the passenger flow from the GWR service (which no doubt will be a 2 coach unit)

How many potential passengers will look at those gaps and decide to drive instead?

Journey planner still not updated. How am I supposed to plan! I really don't want to end up stuck in Woking, Guildford or Basingstoke (or somewhere else!)

You do what majority of other potential passengers will do, drive instead, because SWR clearly doesn't want your business.

I don't (can't) drive, its too far to cycle, no bus or coach links and no other reasonable alternatives. I get your point that it will push people away when they have bad experiences but going with it (or booking a last minute hotel and coming back the next day) is my only option.

I see (looking at Train Split) the last train is at 23;35 into a replacement bus at 00:22, getting into Eastleigh at 2/3am.

Presuming that bus runs and you can board it.

Looks like Overton, Whitchurch & Grateley still have those 5 & a half hour gap heading west and 4 and a half hour gap heading east. Like SWR have pulled the stoppers without thinking about putting extra stops onto the Exeter trains. I guess that is too much like putting passengers first

That luckily matches what I eventually found out yesterday after half an hour on the phone to swr. Though I may get an earlier train to Guildford to make sure!

It is madness that the journey planner couldn’t be relied on until the day and still odd that I go to Guildford rather than Woking!

Woking seems to be closed so they can divert via the suburban line from Surbiton.

Better getting at Guildford as early as possible, the buses can be chaotic at the best of times.
