Car aside, it's the most bus oriented. In general public transport terms it's one of the few cities that would boom if some form of metro link was built. Exaggeration it may sound to those unfamiliar with the city, but anyone who has been in Aberdeen for any length of time will know how much the buses and current road infrastructure are crumbling from the demand - with limited areas to improve, and how much the local economy is starting to grow to the west of the city now that the bypass is built (shame the same can't be said for the city itself). Though you make a good point about the car. If anybody has every had the priviledge of driving down Anderson Drive in Aberdeen, particularly before the bypass opened, no further words would be needed for this as the experience would speak for itself! If only that was true, the grim reality is that it's one of the most car orientated cities in the UK.
