in the Motherwell area, closing most lines.

Avanti West Coast:

Saturday and Sunday:

Services that usually run to / from Edinburgh will be diverted to run to / from Glasgow Central instead.

Avanti West Coast customers can use TransPennine Express replacement buses between Carlisle and Edinburgh.

Except that the Euston-Glasgow trains run straight through Carstairs and Motherwell! e.g. https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:C87964/2024-06-01/detailed#allox_id=0

Do they really mean that they are working on Midcalder Junction?

p.s. At least it means that there are ten Brum to Glasgow trains today, which is a great improvement on the usual 1 or 2! Supposedly 5 a day from Monday, I hope so, but we shall see...
