There are a large number of stored electric locos just outside Amsterdam central station when arriving from Utrecht. Does anyone have thir details or know of where I might find out.

One thought the info maybe on a Dutch railfan site but I haven't tracked one down yet.

Any help would be appreciated.

A site at

http://www.somda.nl/

has all 'spots' seen at certain places, I'll have a look through and see if I can find any more info out. There's a forum too.

EDIT:

A quote from the forum there:

leads me to suspect they are some of the 17xx and 18xx electric locos which were used on the double-decker push-pull sets (DDAR/DDM) and which have been displaced by the newer VIRM EMUs.

Although in Dutch this site has plenty of interest and is well worth a visit. You can always use Google translate to get a better idea of what's what.
