I'm a student on a medical course and whilst my DBS isn't exactly squeaky clean (one conviction is on there from over 24 years ago!) you should be aware that any conviction never falls off the radar for enhanced DBS purposes which is what every medical job will require if it's client facing....

You should be aware that this is not correct. The law changed nearly two years ago and many minor old convictions no longer show up on DBS checks.

But to the OP - never, ever do this again because should you be unlucky to gain TWO convictions, these are NEVER spent and will always show up on enhanced DBS checks.

To be fair the first part of that sentence is perfectly sensible and not rubbish. The second part not so.

Until the law changes, on an enhanced DBS check, you have to declare if you have two convictions, whether they are spent or not.
