Stockport caff

I'm doing the Stockport-Stalybridge 'parliamentary' train this Friday and have around an hour's wait in Stockport before the train. Any recommendations for a spot of breakfast - preferably a traditional 'greasy spoon' caff? Ideally near the station but as I will have my pushbike with me so could venture further afield.

The only place I can think of which might do a fry-up is the Mersey Café which is right next to the Plaza Theatre in Mersey Square, but I cannot vouch for it's jentacular repast.

(If you don't know Stockport, it's a bit weird; go north down the A6, but then that goes over the road you want to be on; bus station to your left, café on your right, so just continue down to the main shopping centre on your right then double back south; look for the Plaza Theatre).

Failing that, your best bet might be up near the Market somewhere
