Not yet mentioned on here is that tickets for Steam back on the Met are now on sale, although they're selling out quickly.
It's taking place over the Whitsun Bank Holiday (May 25th-27th) between Amersham and Harrow-on-the-Hill (Not Watford as previously) and tickets cost between £15 and £45 depending on the trip.
Trains consist of Metropolitan Steam Locomotive No. 1, a GWR Pannier Locomotive or a GWR Praire Locomotive, Sarah Siddons, a Class 20, ex-British Rail 1950s coaches and the ex-Metropolitan Jubilee coach.
See http://www.ltmuseum.co.uk/whats-on/events/vehicles-on-the-move#steam for more details, with a timetable at http://www.ltmuseum.co.uk/assets/downloads/pdfs/SteamontheMetTimetable.pdf.
I'm booked on the Sunday 10.22 Wembley Park to Amersham and the 12.00 Amersham-Harrow-on-the-Hill-Amersham round trip. Rather looking forward to it and it's pleasing that for both trips for two people it's cost less than the one trip on the truly Underground trips in January!
