The small electric vehicles that get used for various uses , moving merchandise and cleaning materials around , transporting less able passengers etc. What's the proper name for these? Whose the main manufacturers? What licences do they need and is there any websites where I can learn more about them?

At the station I managed they were just known as assist buggies. Not sure of the manufacturers though. They were great fun to drive though.
