Hello, trying to track Stationmaster down for 1933. Have evidence of Jack Waugh being present in 1922 and 1932. Not 1935. Would like to find out his accurate length of service at Staintondale - name changed to Stainton Dale in 1937. Part of the NER/LNER/BR Scarborough to Whitby line. Wondering if anyone had any suggestions.
I have a contact over in the Scarborough area, he runs a group of rail enthusiasts for that area. I could contact him if you would like? but I can't do it until tomorrow, Please let me know if you want me to contact him.

Your welcome, I've emailed Allen. Depending on how busy he is he might reply today or in a few days time. In the mean time I will send you a private message with some links and possible suggestions that might help.

UPDATE:-
I've had a reply from Allen and he's found that Jack Waugh became station master (SM) at Cloughton station in the early 1930's and served there until the late 1930's when R.L. Richardson took over.
I'm unclear if Mr. Waugh was supervising both stations but it looks likely he moved to Cloghton from Stainton Dale, between the two station there was an intermediate one (Hayburn Wyke) which at least in 1930 had someone else as their SM.
Here is a link to the former station, which looks to be a lovely place to stay for a few days - it also has an amusing tale about a cat called Tyke and the trains carrying fish!
The Scarborough & Whitby Railway line was first planned in 1845 and was eventually opened 40 years later in July 1885, running some 21 miles from Scarborough

Maybe you could contact them direct and ask about Jack?
