I buy the Platform 5 Combo each year (and before that the IA ones), but also have a spreadsheet of the numbers I "need". Instead of "red penning", I shade the relevant cell. When the new book arrives, I print off the current sheet, and put it in the outgoing book, then delete all the shaded cells to start the year afresh (adding any new numbers that irritatingly appear).
