Splitting Bangor-London?

Can anyone tell me where the best place to split tickets for Bangor to London changing trains at Crewe is for travelling tomorrow? Need to be on the 12:19 changes at Crewe and Arrives London at 16:27?

can be flexible as arriving no later in london than half 6 in the Evening cant leave bangor earlier than half 11 Can leave London any time thursday prefer morning though.

Your best bet is the following:

Bangor- London Euston: Advance Single £23.50 (14:43 dep, arr 18:21)
London Euston- Bangor: Advance Single £23.50 (09.00 dep, arr 12.26)

This is significantly cheaper at £47.00 return than the equivalent walk-up fare you would have to purchase (infact if you wanted to travel on the 0900 you'd have to purchase an Anytime Return at £219.00 or if not an Off-Peak Return at £69.80).

Bear in mind though you will have to purchase these ticket BEFORE travel and collect them at Bangor. These are not walk-up fares, if they are not purchased before 1800 today you will have to pay the £69.80. Also you MUST stick to the train times posted, you cannot decide you want a lay-in and catch a later train on the day.

Then I don't think splitting is best for you.
The following Advance tickets are currently available on through Virgin trains:

Wed 3 Dec 2008 - 1443 Bangor - Euston 1821 £23.50 (or £36 first class).
Thu 4 Dec 2008 - 0900 Euston - Bangor 1226 £23.50 (or £36 first class).

This compares with a Bangor - London off peak return fare of £69.80.

I wouldn't split tickets on this route. Indeed Off Peak tickets from North Wales are more flexible than from Chester. As you're travelling off peak this is not of benefit in this case though.

And, unlike the ECML with it's predictable calling patterns of DON/PBO, the WCML is unpredictable south of Crewe.

Thanks alot for the advice although i myself am not using these tickets my friend says thanks for the advice ill be on the NationalExpress NX570 Coach out of Preston because it's cheaper for me than The WCML and The Timings on it aren't too bad..
