The Multioperator ticket being named "The Skipper". Granted it maybe more expensive, but gives the "catch any bus that comes first" brigade a lot more choice.

This was the Councils creation. £4 for any bus within the City Limits but also including Saltash, Torpoint, IvyBridge, Wembury and Heybrook bay.

No doubt ticket revenue will be split by how many services each operator runs. No wonder why First will be launching more services with cheaper fares, as they will get a bigger slice of the "Skipper" revenue.

Revenue may be apportioned according to how many such tickets are sold, by operator.

Time to give this thread a bit of a bump.

The Tender for the 180 has been lost by first, and has gone over to CityBus.

Plus these changes from PCB
Service 5: From Saltash Fore Street this service will operate as per the current route to Yellowtor Road, Liskeard Road and then operate via Fairmead Road, Oaklands Drive, Warraton Road and Callington Road to Saltash Fore Street and continue as per its current route to the City Centre and Plymstock.

Service 5A: From Saltash Fore Street this service will operate via Callington Road, Warraton Road, Oaklands Drive, Fairmead Road and Liskeard Road to Yellowtor Road, returning via Fairmead Road, Oaklands Drive, Castlemead Drive, Maybrook Drive, Fairway, Back Hill and Barkers Hill to St Stephens Road and continue as per its current route to the City Centre and Plymstock.

Service 14D: Withdrawn. See Service 35 for alternative journeys.

Service 20: This service will operate as per the current route to Strode Road and then operate via Moorland Road to Mudge Way. Return journeys will start at Mudge Way and operate via Ridgeway, Glen Road (past the Fire Station) to Strode Road and follow the current route to the City Centre.

Service 20A: *NEW SERVICE*: This service will operate the same route as the Service 20 to Moorland Road and then operate via Ridgeway and Deep Lane to the A38, Lee Mill Village, Beech Road, Woodland Road, Cornwood Road, Langham Levels, Cleeve Drive, Fairway Avenue, Woodland Road, Cleeve Drive, Ivydene Road, St John’s Road, Western Road, Marjorie Kelly Road, Leonards Road, Exeter Road, Harford Road, Cole Lane and Exeter Road to Ivybridge Rail Station. Returning service will operate from Ivybridge Railway Station via Exeter Road, St Peters Way, Woolcombe Lane, Leonards Road to Marjorie Kelly Way and then follow the reverse of the outbound route to Plympton and Plymouth.

On most journeys the service 20A will change to become a Service 45 at Ivybridge Railway Station allowing passengers from the Ivybridge area a fast link to Plymouth.

Service 21/A: Some journeys retimed to improve reliability.

Service 23/24: Changes to departure times on Sundays only.

Service 26A: Withdrawn. See Services 28/29 for Alternative journeys.

Service 27: Monday to Saturday: This service will operate its current route via Lower Compton to Efford Road and then operate via Eggbuckland Road terminating at Deer Park. Return journeys will operate from Deer Park via Eggbuckland Road and Efford Road to Lower Compton and the City Centre. Sundays: See Sunday Service 28A/B.

Service 27A: Replaced by Service 28A (See below).

Service 28/A/B will operate a combined service every 20 minutes between the City Centre and Eggbuckland Charfield Drive, with the 28 operating hourly to Crownhill and Derriford Hospital.

Service 28: No change to the current route between City Centre and Derriford Hospital Monday to Saturday.

Service 28A *REVISED SERVICE*: This service will operate the same route as the Service 28 to Charfield Drive and then operate via Bowden Cross/Forder Valley to Asda and Mainstone. Return service will operate via Asda and Forder Valley to Charfield Drive and then operate the same route as the 28 to the City Centre. Passengers from Mainstone will need to change buses at Asda to the service 50 for Derriford Hospital. Sunday & Bank Holidays this service will also serve Deer Park.

Daytime Service 28B: This service will operate the same route as the Service 28 to Charfield Drive and then operate via Church Hill to Shallowford Road and Bircham View. Return journeys will operate the reverse of this route. Passengers for Crownhill or Derriford from Bircham View will need to change at Charfield Drive (Service 28) or Henders Corner (Service 42).

Evening and Sunday service 28B: will also serve Deer Park Drive and continue to Crownhill and Derriford Hospital.

Service 29/A: The service 29 and 29A will operate a combined 15 minute service between City Centre, St Budeaux and West Park, with the service 29 operating every 30 minutes to Transit Way and Derriford Hospital and the 29A operating every 30 minute to Ringmore Way and Holly Park.

Service 30: Withdrawn. Passengers for West Park, Crownhill and Derriford Hospital will need to change buses at St Budeaux to the service 29.

Service 34: This service will now serve Durnford Street and Royal William Yard, with an increase in number of journeys between Stoke Village and Derriford Hospital in the mornings.

Service 35: Additional service due to arrive at the City Centre at 06:14 Monday to Friday.

Service 40/41: Inbound service will return to using Mayflower Street and Western Approach terminating at Royal Parade. This is to improve service reliability. This service will continue to operate increased running times on School Days during peak times to help with traffic problems at Manadon Roundabout.**

Service 42/A: Services will now terminate at Royal Parade. Travel between City Centre and Royal William Yard provided by service 34. This service will operate increased running times on School Days during peak times to help with traffic problems at Manadon Roundabout.**

Service 43: Evening service times changed to interwork better with service 5/A between St Budeaux and City Centre terminating at Royal Parade.

Service 44: This service will operate increased running times on School Days during peak times to help with traffic problems at Manadon Roundabout. To allow for the increased times and improve reliability this service will not serve Taunton Avenue outbound on its journeys from City Centre to Whitleigh Green during peak times, but will continue to serve Taunton Avenue on all journeys from Whitleigh Green to City Centre inbound.**

** Due to changes in traffic movements since September 2013 it now takes longer to travel between Crownhill and Mutley Plain during busy times of the day. To adjust for this Services 40, 41, 42/A and 44 have each been given additional journey times put in during peak times on school days these changes have had a detrimental effect on some early morning and mid evening journeys.

Service 61/62: Service 61 will operate every 30 minutes to Peverell, Cherry Tree then St Pancras Avenue, Honicknowle, West Park, Transit Way, Break Farm, Spring Hill, Cherry Tree and Peverell to the City Centre. Service 62 will operate the reverse of the 61 route every 30 minutes.

Service 61A: Withdrawn and replaced with 29A between City Centre and Holly Park.

Service 8/9, 12, 14, 16, 25, 32, 33, 36, 45, 49, 50: No change

It seems PCB have been rather busy regigging services in Plymouth.

Another attempt to push first out of Tavistock is on the cards:

Service 12
PH0000135/149 - PLYMOUTH CITYBUS LTD, MILEHOUSE, MILEHOUSE ROAD, PLYMOUTH, PL3 4AA
Variation Accepted: Operating between Plymouth Royal Parade and Travistock Bus Station given service number 12 effective from 25-May-2014. To amend Timetable.

The 12 is staying, just a few tweaks to fit in with the below

Service 11
PH0000135/154 - PLYMOUTH CITYBUS LTD, MILEHOUSE, MILEHOUSE ROAD, PLYMOUTH, PL3 4AA
Registration Accepted
Starting Point: PLYMOUTH ROYAL PARADE
Finish Point: TAVISTOCK BUS STATION Via: Derriford Hospital, Yelverton, Hollabridge
Service Number: 11 Service Type: Normal Stopping
Effective Date: 25-MAY-2014
Other Details: Sunday to Saturday excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. Sunday service on other bank holidays.

PH0000135/155 - PLYMOUTH CITYBUS LTD, MILEHOUSE, MILEHOUSE ROAD, PLYMOUTH, PL3 4AA
Registration Accepted
Starting Point: TAVISTOCK BUS STATION
Finish Point: WEST ST, OKEHAMPTON Via: Mary Tavi, Lydford, Sourton
Service Number: 11 Service Type: Normal Stopping
Effective Date: 25-MAY-2014
Other Details: Monday to Saturday. On Sunday the service will stop at Market Street. Sunday service will operate on bank holidays. However, there will be no service on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

The New Service 11 will operate via Mutley, Derriford, Yelverton, Horrabridge, Tavi, then Onwards to Okehampton. No idea if this will be hourly but I imagine so

Then on Sundays, the 11 will go onwards and work the following:
Service 75B
PH0000135/156 - PLYMOUTH CITYBUS LTD, MILEHOUSE, MILEHOUSE ROAD, PLYMOUTH, PL3 4AA
Registration Accepted
Starting Point: OKEHAMPTON, MARKET STREET
Finish Point: GREAT TOLLINGTON CHURCH Via: HATHERLEIGH, MEETH, MERTON
Service Number: 75B Service Type: Normal Stopping
Effective Date: 25-MAY-2014
Other Details: Sundays & Bank Holidays excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. 2 Journeys in each direction.

Service 75B
PH0000135/157 - PLYMOUTH CITYBUS LTD, MILEHOUSE, MILEHOUSE ROAD, PLYMOUTH, PL3 4AA
Registration Accepted
Starting Point: GREAT TORRINGTON CHURCH
Finish Point: BARNSTAPLE BUS STATION Via: Bideford
Service Number: 75B Service Type: Normal Stopping
Effective Date: 25-MAY-2014
Other Details: Sundays and Bank Holidays except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. 2 Journeys in each direction

So 2 Journeys a day in each direction will run from Plymouth and all the way to Barnstaple.

FDC Now have a real fight on their hands.

As we don;t have a Stagecoach SW thread for some reason... This'll do

Does anyone know if there any plans to upgrade the X46? I've been using it a lot recently, due to Dawlish being smote by Poseidon.

It seems to be, for what is a very busy route, treated pretty shoddily for some reason. During the rush hour, its bay at Exeter is almost always taken by a late No2 and forced to loiter for it to be sorted out, thus making it later as well, and making the large queue figure out where its going to dock up.

The vehicles on the route are getting old, and have had a few faults in recent months, and are looking very tired inside (unlike the ones on the 11, which looks like they've had a refresh, as the seat covers look brand new)

Between that and the awkward gaps in the timetable (No service between 1500 and 1640? Really?:|) it just feels abit unloved by Stagecoach, even though its usually the most crowded service I use on a weekly basis.

Whats the cause of it? Direct competition with the railway?

Someone more local will know better but IIRC, I think it was because they had so many ENCTS passes that it was struggling to pay its way so they took a vehicle out of its requirement. Instead of 3 and a regular hourly headway throughout, you have the mix of short working and interworking etc.

Might be wrong but think the X38 was a similar casualty?

Oddly, following my whinge about the state of the tridents on the X46, they have all mysteriously turned into E400's

I'm happy with the change, but the drivers are annoyed. Apparently they arnt as good on the likes of the A380, and lose time easily. I'm just glad to get to have more options to sit somewhere without my knees getting bruised.
