Son admitted to using staff nominee pass without knowledge

Hi All,

My son has admitted to using my staff nominee pass without my knowledge for the last few months while I’ve been on maternity leave. He was stopped today at a station, not realising there was inspectors there and asked to see his photo card. He had his headphones in so didn’t hear at first and then when they they asked again they put there hands on his shoulders so he said not to touch him and walked off.

Do you think il hear anything about the pass as he didn’t knowledge them or give it?

I would suggest whoever the employee is talks to thier Manager/union asap about the details as they could lose thier travel facilities for the abuse of the pass.

But no card was given he walked off he wasn’t stopped after? So can they do anything?

Did he touch out with the card? If so they can get the details of the scan so can identify the card holder

Also entirely possible that they'll be keeping an eye out for him now.

Yeah defiantly well he won’t be using it again! They didn’t get any details or the card he walked off quickly so it’s wether they check the scan but it was rush hour so I don’t know how there prove who’s who

Not hard to pinpoint a time. Each pass gives a different code and they can check the logs for a Staff Pass at that time.

Yes. That’s how the inspector knows it was a pass and wanted to stop him.

The gate will show a staff pass was used to get through at a certain time. Unless many others went past the gates with staff passes it'll be easy to say that it was your son.
If it was for the ToC I work for thy will also use the CCTV.

The person had no body cam so would have been just the cttv of station. I don’t want anyone to get in trouble as I wasn’t aware. It was on the tube not network rail.

How could you be certain there was no body cam? From the account given it's claimed there wasn't much of an interaction.
