Two friends of mine recently visited Germany and Switzerland for railway trips. Whilst in Switzerland they went up the Gelmerbahn funnicular railway. At it's steepest point it hits 106%!! On the way down he videod the whole trip in 720p and has uploaded it to YouTube. You can find it here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_VlWIVUqzg

Your friend has captured this funicular railway in Switzerland well. It must have been a difficult one to build. It was just like a "cab ride" in its view of the sections. He had shown the track sections well and had used the zoom in and out quite well. I have been on a few of these systems in Europe in my much younger days, but never one as steep as this in certain sections.

The view of the mountains captured the very spirit of Switzerland. It was a shame that some of the scenery shots were a little jagged in movement, considering how well he had filmed the actual journey. The small station at the foot with the buffers was well portrayed.

So, all in all, a most enjoyable video to watch.

My goodness!

And from the clips of the shadow and the close up of the feet on the bar, it looks to me like that carriage is fully open and not at all enclosed - is that correct?!
