These days we would only do it for 12+2 or is that because I've been a driver too long now?

With all the 'little' boxes slowly going, and moved into PSB's / IECC's and ROCs, then the 'out of time' scenario will vanish, in a PSB etc, any shortage would be covered by the SSM, if there is Meal Relief available, he would cover the gap, and the SSM cover Meals etc.

Pembrey, Kidwelly, Ferryside and Carmarthen Junction are due to close in March and September 2023. Presumably the first three in March and Carmarthen in September.

Lostwithiel, Par and Truro to go in November 2023.

GWR website now advises under its list of engineering works that the line between Swansea and Carmarthen will be closed for the weekend of 18th / 19th March. That will presumably be the weekend that Ferryside, Pembrey and Kidwelly are abolished.

Just seen on another site that Ferryside closure has gone back to March 2024.

One that I don’t think has been mentioned is Lugton, which is now continuous. It lost its ability to switch out when Barrhead box closed last October.
