Skye ferries

Hi, I'm doing an ALR next year but have one problem. One of the days I'll be catching a sleeper up from Euston to Inverness, to then go on to Kyle of Lochalsh. I then need to somehow get to Mallaig. Is there a direct ferry? The only ferries I can find are Kyle-Kyleakin and Mallaig-Armadale. In which case, I need a bus service from Kyle to Armadale, but searching has proved fruitless. Can someone help?

No ferry exists now from Kyle of Lochalsh; the Skye Bridge has replaced the service and the ferries work elsewhere now (Mull and Bute). It has to be a bus from Kyle-Armadale.

Apparently there aren't any direct buses, however, from Kyle to Armadale You must first walk to the old slipway. You need to get the 50 bus to Broadford (continues to Portree) and then a 52(C) to Armadale (terminates).

Allow about 2 and a half hours from getting on your bus to getting your ferry.

You'll need to catch the bus to Armadale then ferry over to Mallaig. I don't think the Kyleakin ferry runs now that the bridge is open.

Correct; bus to Broadford and Bus to Armadale for the Ferry.
