ok so this line, branching off just outside Kidwelly station runs to the now flattened Coedbach washery which i think ceased traffic at end of 90's. Recently there were abolished plans for a wood burning biofuel power plant here which could have seen woodchip arrive by rail. even though this never went ahead, there was still vegetation clearance work carried out by one of those diggers with tyres turning against steel wheels to run on the track. so, 2 questions - why was this work carried out when the go ahead to build power plant was still hanging in the balance? if it had gone ahead how would they have solved the severely flooded track which is under water even during very dry spells?
