Surely, the suspended mud will settle out in the lagoons and they will just bung up?

A lagoon will be easier to dredge economically though, and wont have as bad an impact on the overall sediment system.

The real problem with lagoons is that they are several times more expensive than barrages for the same electricity generation capacity.

Is this in any other manifestos? Plaid have a "First 100 days" document, but can't find anything longer, and so far no mention of pursuing another crossing. I could see Plaid easily agreeing to do it though in a coalition that includes the Greens, but at the same time, how much of this is in the power of the Welsh government, given England is involved as well?
