Especially as there is no real proof they were short changed!

They believe they were that's what matters. £2 is obviously a lot of money to them so why not? I suspect you'd be the first to have a go if they came on here claiming they'd been overchanged by £2 and said nowt.

Clearly time for an investigation by MI6. Solid investigative work is clearly required in order to satisfy 455's significant need for evidence.

I say give up now. Just be content to know that any future complaints about this person will set off alarm bells, so if it was a case of pocketing £2 deliberately, that person will likely have done it before and will again - and will eventually get caught.

And if it was a mistake, no harm done.

Now watch Eurovision!

So what proof is there that they were short changed then?

You're choosing to ignore what's actually being posted. I didn't say there was any proof - no-one said there was any proof. The op's 15 year old friend believes she was short changed and if she firmly believes that then she can pursue it as much as she wants. The worst that can happen is that she'll pee off the TOC and get nothing. On the other hand they might offer her something just to get her off their back.

£2 is obviously nothing to you and I wouldn't bother about it now either but if I had been down an equivalent amount when I was 15 (probably about threepence ha'penny) I'd have been cheesed off but it wouldn't have been worth the cost of stamp/phone call. Complaining is now free (notwithstanding bb21's comments about the time cost etc..).
