Sheffield to Ipswich

Hey guys, I was wondering if I could get some advice on finding the cheapest tickets to get from Sheffield to Ipswich? I can travel at almost any time of day and don't require flexibility. I can also book in advance.

I'm not too good using the train websites to find cheaper alternate routes and usually end up finding tickets averaging around £60. A friend told me I could possibly get from Sheffield > Norwich > Ipswich for ~£30?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :D

I found a couple of tickets travelling in the day during the week for £28.50 on NXEC with their online discount, Sheffield > Doncaster > Kings Cross > Liverpool Street > Ipswich.

The majority of tickets I find on Thursdays/Fridays over the next couple of weeks all range from between £28.50 to £41.40, all from NXEC with their special online discount.

The cheapest I have found is a fare on East Midlands train website for £11

e.g.

Sheffield to London St Pancras 11:27- 13:34

NXEA website £7:10

Liverpool Street to Ipswich 15:00- 16:08

Total price £18:10

This is going on a Thursday.
