hello, has any body used a Sensor Cleaning Kit, my camera a Pentax k100d, what kit to purchase and where from, prefable Nottingham area, or just take it to
camera shop,many thanks.
I have been using a Sensor Cleaning Pen for a few years now and they work perfectly. You get a number of spare cleaning heads, which last a long time and works out very economical. The pen also cleans camera lenses. It uses graphite and really works. Do a search for them or try your local camera shop.

I have used Visible Dust cleaning solution and swabs with 100% success - available online. In my case, two different Canon bodies had minute lubricant drops on the sensor so a dry clean didn't work and I had to use something a bit stronger. Not cheap - around £16 for a few swabs and small vial of solution, but much cheaper than a shop and the kit will do two or three times. A good light and a steady hand, and make sure you have a fully charged battery before you start as you will need to lock up the mirror and open the shutter. Oh - and make sure you buy the 1.6x crop version as it's sized correctly for your sensor.
