Doing some research on a journey I may have to make sometime in the future.

Letchworth - Harlow Town. The only season price shown in Advantix is for "Route Hertford" £56 (Standard 7 day season) No season prices are shown for route "any permitted" but normal point to point tickets have fares.

The journey planners show that going via Hertford involves 3 changes (including walking from Hertford North to Hertford East which takes over 20 minutes) - total journey time about 2 hour 10 minutes.

They also show alternatives with a journey time of 1hr 25-1 hr 30 by either of these routes:
Letchworth-Cambridge-Harlow Town
Letchworth-Finsbury Park - Victoria Line-Tottenham Hale-Harlow Town
Both of these routes have the "any permitted" return fares.
(morning journeys seem quicker via FPK & evening quicker via Cambridge)

Is it possible to issue a Season ticket valid for travel via these routes, & how much would it cost? There is a "route Cambridge" season ticket option available from Ashwell & Mordern & stations towards Cambridge, but not from LET.

I did wonder if instead I would need a season from Cambridge to something like zones 2&3 (to cover the victoria Line)

(option B involves using the hourly bus from WGC or Hertford North to Harlow!)

Many thanks.

If there's no fare set then I don't believe a season ticket is available. The any permitted fare is a lot higher than the route Hertford one, so I'd guess a season ticket would be pretty expensive. Obviously you could buy two season tickets (e.g. Letchworth - Cambridge, Cambridge - Harlow Town): that would be quite expensive and restrict you to one route in both directions but it would probably be cheaper than £36.50 per day! Your suggestion of a Cambridge - London ticket would work for both routes but that's also likely to be upwards of £100 per week (and the ticket only to Zones 2-3 may not exist): a Cambridge to Zones 1-6 Travelcard is £127.40 so you definitely need pay no more than this.

Option B sounds quite tempting to me though...
