That article also shows the damaged cab, covered by a tarpaulin. One man said: “It’s a bit odd to see it so obviously from the roadside.
“It’s the train from the Orchar Park incident.
“I would have thought it would be under lock and key following the crash.
“It looked like a graffiti tag on the port side of the train.
I would imagine that's a guess at this stage...I would imagine it will go for spares.
And now targeted by vandals.

Train damaged during Storm Gerrit targeted by vandals near Dundee Railway Station
Some are questioning why it is sitting there more than two weeks after the incident.www.thecourier.co.uk
That article also shows the damaged cab, covered by a tarpaulin.
Well now they’ve stuck it in the local rag it’ll be covered in rattlecan efforts by the end of next week!![]()
The article mentions the RAIB carrying out an inspection. Presumably they will have wanted to look at the whole train, but now they’re finished with it, I’d imagine it’ll find its way to Haymarket depot in the coming days.So not just the damaged power car but the whole set left at Dundee ..... rather than the coaches and second power car taken for inspection. If no issues even if a spare power car not available to run the set so long as one other power car was available it would help with stock availability.
