Hello all. At Warley I purchased Railworks and whilst impressed with the sim itself, I'm less than impressed with the output of reskin work and free stuff available in general. I'm not saying that I don't think the payware contains stuff worthy of the price, but there needs to be a balance.

Anyway, back to why I'm posting this thread. I've started to fill in some of the 'missing' Deltic liveries that we need IMO. So far I've done the Green with full yellow end, the BR blue with FP white windows and then made a start on the 'Purple Peril'. Screenshots below

PLEASE NOTE - I've got rid of the bit of blue around the windows on the left hand Deltic

Making a start on 9016, but cannot get the numbers or name up correctly yet.

In this guise 9016 had headcode panels again, but the real difficulty will be trying to get something like WiPac headlight clusters on there.

I'm going to make green variants without the FP white windows, and variants with fixed headcodes, and yellow headcode panel lights too, as we currently only have the domino variety. If I can figure out the numbering, I may limit each model to specific numbers, but I think it would be better to make the full lot available, regardless of whether they actually received the livery TBH.

I also want to try if possible and edit the clag files, to give far more as would a real Deltic. Lots to do, but I hope to have some more updates in the near future.

Comments and critique welcome please.

Yep, I've had a go at editing the Deltic clag files, but the problem is the clag is the same whether at idle or full throttle. I can't find anything relating to throttle in there. This is a very big shame, and it's a cheap and nasty method for them to employ.

For reskins it helps if you have an image editor, such as Photoshop etc. You'll need a tool called RSBinTools that decodes the texture format from RW, and this allows you to save as a *.dds file. Once you've done this you can edit the file in a suitable image editor, but it will require a plugin to handle the *.dds files.

If you're serious about it I can recommend this tutorial which is for RailSimulator but more or less identical http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic.php?f=217&t=79059
