Betfred Championship

Swinton Lions 60 ... North Wales Crusaders 10

Swinton led 26-0 at half time and kept the pressure on in the second half and won the try count 11-2.

I suppose the Crusaders will regard a 50-point defeat as something of a moral victory, noting the scores they have conceded this season in matches.

Leigh Leopards 62 ... Bradford Bulls 10

Bottom-of-the-league Bradford kept the score down to 14-4 at half time, but succumbed in the second half. Leigh won the try count 10-2.

Betfred Championship

North Wales Crusaders 6 ... Keighley Cougars 90

Back at home at Stadiwm CSM, the Crusaders still could not produce any sort of result and they had home advantage over a team who were in 17th place in the league. They were 0-46 down at half-time and the second half was just as bad. Keighley do not often score 16 tries in a match.

Yet another sad tale of woe for the Crusaders, who just avoided a three-figure defeat.

1895 CUP FINAL....Played at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

London Broncos 32 ... Widnes Vikings 10

First half ended with a close score of 12-8, but the Broncos came on strong in the second half, to claim the silverware.

Broncos won the try count 6 to 1.

Betfred Super League

Leigh Leopards 48 ... St Helens 10

St Helens are having a really bad run of results and this was their 12th league defeat of the season. Leigh led 24-10 at half-time and then scored 24 more unanswered points in the second half, winning the try count 8-2

This result sees Leigh in 5th place and St Helens out of the top 6 play-off places in 7th place.

This year’s grand final will be contested between Warrington and Wakefield. I’m not sure many people would have predicted that.

Indeed. Neither club have won the Super League Grand Final before, either. Warrington have lost all three of their previous finals, whereas it will be Wakefield Trinity's first ever appearance.

Also a little bit of added spice in that Wakefield coach Daryl Powell ruffled a few feathers when he was in charge at Warrington.

Betfred Super League Grand Final 2026

Warrington Wolves 10 ... Wakefield Trinity 23.

Deserved victory for Wakefield Trinity in last night's Grand Final in front of a sell-out crowd of over 71,000 at Old Trafford. Wakefield Trinity, who had finished 4th in the regular season, were simply far better and more inventive than their opponents, and led 0-19 at half time. Warrington Wolves rallied briefly in the second half after Wakefield's Corey Hall had been sin-binned for ten minutes, but upon Hall's return, Wakefield then went 6-23 up, and fairly easily held on for the win. They are now only the sixth ever team to win the Grand Final, this in their first ever final appearance, whereas Warrington have now lost in each of their five Grand Finals. Tom Johnstone, with Wakefield's fourth try (and with an earlier effort disallowed) was the Rob Burrow man-of-the-match award winner.
