. . .A look at Dalston Junction's page on the "Disused Station's" website reveals that at some point round about 1972–1974, B.R. did away with the L.M. Maroon Totems and Running–In Boards, but instead of going straight over to the "standard" black lettering on white "Corporate" Identity signage, an unusual variant appeared on this station, a "reversed" Corporate Identity appeared that had white lettering on a dark grey or black background!
. . .By 1977 Dalston Junction's signs had been replaced by standard "Corporate Identity" format ones, but can anyone tell me more about this "reversed Corporate Identity" format – in particular, was Dalston Junction a "one–off" case, or was this an experiment tried elsewhere?
