Good! Top sounding bloke! Just tell him that his next tours need some Sulzer Action - Bring out 45112, Some blue grey stock...and maybe on a Cross Country type run from the north to Plymouth / Paington...A nice and proper cross country tour 1970s style!

;)

Is there a mainline registered class 45? Is it in operation? Thought it would get used a lot if so.

Like the sound of your idea though. Used to get bored of peaks in the 80s - would love to travel behind one again on the mainline now!

45112 was registered for use on the main line up until very recently and was used on many railtours, but is currently off the main line AFAIK.

I was under the impression that 45112 required TPWS & ATP fitting & may require other work to get it back in action.

I can imagine it would cost a fortune in Driver training/refreshers for 45112 to operate again on the mainline!

Sadly true! Who actually owned 45112 These days? As i think it was one of the assets of the unfortunate Fragonset...

45112 belongs to Martin Sargeant - formerly of Frangonset and now one of the director's of Nemesis.
