Apologies for resurrecting an old thread.
When I started driving in the 1980s it was not unknown for drivers to get out of the cab and sort things out, I have thrown a few people physically off a bus in the past for being abusive. I have a right to go about my work in peace. If someone swore at me or threatened me there would be consequences.
But I wouldn't do it now, no one will support you, the police will not help, the company will say you are in the wrong.
