Received Verification letter 10 days after date

Hi everyone,

I received a letter regarding an offence I had committed on the 24th March, however only received it on the 4th April, which is more than 10 days (the deadline which is stated on the letter). I returned from university after a few days yesterday (6th April) so had only just seen it then. Is it worth explaining this to IAP as I intended to write an email, however I’m unsure anything I write will be considered, especially since it’s past the deadline?

Welcome to the forum!

It’s worth writing a short email to TfL explaining the delay in receiving the letter and am saying that you will respond by (say) then end of this week.

That’s the date on the letter, the offence occurred on the 21st
