More than likely is correct, but could include a multitude of search engine crawlers and such like

The figure may be skewed, as Forum Apps (Tapatalk at least) keeps the user signed in permanently. I have noticed this since a recent update of the software unless sign out everytime you close app, and I cant be bothered to re-enter my password everytime on Tapatalk.

The boards take that into account. It only counts people who have been active within the last x (as set by the admins) minutes.

How many people were on RUK in 1827....???? :D:D

A handful, including StevoG, StevoR, RTrev and IKB. A forum that would in them days have been powered by steam and semaphore.

StevoG and StevoR would've been always wittering on about how successful their new railway between Manchester and Liverpool was. RTrev would be moaning about how he wasn't getting the credit he deserved and IKB would be shamelessly self-promoting, telling all who would listen, "You ain't seen nothing yet."

No doubt there would have been at least one moderator - probably one who would've been constantly moaning about the Board of Trade. And also looking for all the loopholes to enable him to travel as cheaply as possible between Stockton and Darlington or Liverpool and Manchester.

:p;)

Don't you keep yourself signed in all the time on forums anyway? I do.

My laptop signs out every time I shut the browser window.

That's odd. If you tick the "Remember me" box when you sign in it should keep you signed in permanently. Maybe it's a browser setting? Do you have cookies turned off or something?

Hmm, were there any particularly riveting discussions going on then?

The First/West Coast discussion and the whole disabled passenger/Guide Bridge saga in August 2010 saw a spike in user activity.

I was wondering too Lampshade, I got it down to the Merseyrail guard thread, which reached a verdict on Wednesday.

Surely the mods would be from the Pease Family :D

Now does anyone know if an off peak anytime third class return from Witton Park to Stockton is cheaper with a split at Fighting Cocks?

Can i also get a plus horse & cart add on for the Stockton to Port Darlington?

Of course this would have been pre-RORA 1889, thus making prosecution threads a lot shorter ;)
