Today I was caught without my railcard, the problem is though I was using my brothers Railcard but I didn't say this when I was caught. As the railcard i was using was an 16-17 saver I had to lie about my age saying I was young than I am. I gave them my real name and Address. What shall I expect to happen?

They will write to you.

You should write back admitting your error, that you understand the mistake you made, you won’t do it again, you have now bought your own railcard and you will be happy to pay their costs instead of being taken to court.

Since OP has told the railway that they are a child, it seems to me that there's a good chance that any letter will be addressed to their parents or guardians.

We need to know what train company you're dealing with but most train companies are prepared to offer an out fo court settlement for something like this as long as you co-operate with them, and haven't come to their attention before.

The train company will write to you in the next few weeks, saying that they have received a report and are considering prosecuting but asking for your version of events before they decide how to proceed. You must not ignore this letter. When it arrives, post a redacted copy of it in this thread and forum members will assist in suggesting things you should say in response.
