Early this year East midlands trains gave one of the ticket office guys at Beeston an award for the frendliest person on the PA speakers or something. He ALWAYS finishes his messages in the mornings when all the workers are waiting for their train "Have a great day at work, hope it goes well, god bless"

Ian and the station team at Brockenhurst also came in the top 3 in the Community Rail Awards back in Sept for initiatives at the station!

Two of my buddies on the StanEx got nominated too. One for newcomer of the year and the other for train crew of the year, both for dealing with volatile situations in a calm and professional manner.

To be fair, they do have a really excellent and supportive manager who rewards good performance.
