I work for a UK based company that supply bellows and composite parts for rolling stock.

We are trying to increase sales and decided to have a look at contacting Rail maintenance depots.

Using the excellent information on this forum I’ve found lists of depots, but trying to find addresses and phone numbers is proving extremely difficult. Do depots have “offices” or are they just workshops?

Would I be better off contacting the relevant maintenance department of the train / freight operating companies?

Thanks in advance

I may be in-correct but if you go on the official websites like DB schenker's and Freightliner's etc.. and give them a e-mail about what your company does or there might be a telephone number avalible via there website.

Contact the TOC/FOCs you are are hoping to supply and take it from there. Its no good contacting the various TMDs around the country that are run by the operators as their supplies are delivered from the TOC contract holders to supply the parts. Some of the larger 'works' depots such as Wolverton are owned by engineering companies so it might be worth contacting those directly.

As SouthEaster465 mentioned most of the operators have a contact address/email on their website.

Good luck!

Thanks for the advice guys, I had already started gather info on the TOC/FOCs. All I need to do now is make it passed the automated call handling and speak to a human !!

Is there a reason why TMD addresses aren't readily published, one Alstom depot I was looking at using Google Street View had the name below the Alstom logo deliberately blurred out.

Cheers

Chris
