There are countries where that is a serious problem (i.e. corruption etc), but in the UK I find they generally coincide very well.

I do not regard forums as social media

I do. They're an older, more primitive form (and one still better suited to reasoned discussion than Facebook/Twitter soundbites), but I don't see any way in which they are *not* social media.

If your relationship with management has broken down, you basically have two realistic options;
1 - go to a union if you are a member of one
2 - find a new job.

With regard to the Police, staying on the right side of the law is quite a good way of avoiding any trouble with them.

mmmm......it is quite a good way but did not serve Cliff Richard, Paul Gambacinni, Ched Evans, Guildford Four, Sam Hallam, Barry George, Paul Blackburn, Birmingham Six, Judith Ward, Winston Silcott, Sion Jenkins and many many others so well.

The police are of course great at what they do. It is just what they do that can be a problem.

I take it that your "generally" excludes the West Midlands Regional Crime Squad.. and those responsible for the Birmingham and Guildford 'discrepancies' ?

With the days of drones and surveillance and as always with our "free" press you never know whatever you say may be made public wherever you may say it - and it can always be altered to fit context
