Priv Rover Ticket Question

Hello all I've been thinking of doing a trip with my priv for the first time. Im looking to purchase a heart of england 3 in 7 day rover. After I purchase at a ticket office do I need to keep my priv on me when travelling as proof of validity or is showing the rover enough at that point?
