Hello I went for a little walk around Ellesmere Port and I came across the Manisty Wharf Line I just want to know if your allowed to walk down it for my next visit I know the purpose (or was) it was used to transport coal from Fiddlers Power Station (it is abandoned and was abandoned in 2019)

You should, I think, proceed with some caution. Although abandoned, it is still on land privately owned and there are still Manchester Ship Canal 'Do Not Trespass' signs here and there and a couple of NR ones near the end of the line, looking via Google Maps/Streetview. Possible that some local businesses might object to people being where they shouldn't?

i walked round there about 5 years ago, wasn't challenged by anyone, but nothing much to see anyway. I think it was still being used then, something to do with the glass bottle works at Ince? IIRC some of it is in a roadway which might be public right of way.The wharf is still used by ships.
