I travelled from Cardiff to London this morning and the train was a total nightmare. Two trains (including my own) had been cancelled and the one that turned up was just five carriages. Sardine can doesn't begin to describe it.
I'm a wheelchair user, so I was fine but I pity others who had paid a fortune for their tickets only to find themselves in the rail equivelant of the black hole of Calcutta.
The train crew were (as ever) lovely but I overheard one describing the service as a 'total embarrassment'. The most frustrating part was that no explanation was offered. Apologies, yes. Explanations, nada. So questions.
Does anyone know why the service on the SWML was so bad today?
Why don't GWR try to explain what is going on?
I live in Cardiff and use trains a lot and at least TfW are pretty upfront about their problems. GWR, on the other hand, seem to be a black hole of misinformation.
