Points failure between Sheffield & Chesterfield/Stockport

There is a points failure affecting most services leaving Sheffield towards the Hope Valley & Chesterfield. TransPennine running with heavy delays, certain EMR Sheffield to London services being cancelled & some Norwich to Liverpool trains not calling at Sheffield. Any idea which part it is at, I am thinking around Dore & Totley.

Have to say that I'm struggling to determine the extent of the issue as reported by the OP. Been some Sheffield->London cancellations earlier due to a 'trespass incident', as well as some pre-planned cancellations from Sheffield by both Northern and XC. Anyone able to further clarify?

I arrived into Sheffield from Manchester at 4pm and everything seemed to be running as normal

The TPE journey check page shows some delays to services due to a points failure, but it doesn't specify where, and there are no line disruptions reported. Everything seems to be running OK through Sheffield and Chesterfield.

I'm following 1B83 on Traksy currently, which has just left Meadowhall 20 minutes late. To help recover time on this, TPE ran it fast between Grimsby and Doncaster, which helped it recover 13 minutes, and following a clear run, looks to be getting into Sheffield having recovered another 5 minutes.

EDIT: All this fast running is going to be pointless, as it will catch up with the stopper, and be unable to overtake until Hazel Grove or Stockport.

The only thing I can see, looking at the National Rail Enquiries pages, was an earlier points failure at Liverpool Lime Street. This was causing some delays to/from there. Can't see anything specific for the Sheffield area, merely residual delays.

I believe there was a 'person hit by a train' just south of Leicester at around 08:45, which caused some disruption.

That's obviously not good, but how would it have resulted in some Norwich to Liverpool trains not calling at Sheffield? They don't go anywhere near Leicester.

I assume the incident mentioned was the one south of Leicester (which Sheffield - London services pass through).
