Platform markings at Cameron Bridge

Yesterday I did a journey to Leven.

On the Kirkcaldy bound platform we're a series of white painted triangles with numbers in my them. What are they for ?

If they're evenly spaced, are they simply boarding zones?

In my area, on platforms there are orange squares with numbers on, at about 20m - 25m spacing. They're used to announce where on the platform passengers should stand to be opposite to first class, bike spaces, wheelchair access etc. The announcement varies depending on length and type of the next train.

There wasn't a small round headed metal pin or similiar in the centre of them by any chance. Am thinking they could be survey stations.

From memory, some of the signs were close together. No metal pin in the middle. The platform had the usual “3 car stop” boards for the driver

Sounds like a turn back sign - telling the driver where to stop a train of certain length if they're changing direction, to let them know the back of the train is clear of the signal they need to get behind?

Did it look like that?

If so it’s a rear clear marker telling the driver where to stop in order to be in behind a signal for shunting purposes.

These signs aren’t located at Cameron Bridge though, they are about half a mile after Leven on the UP line to facilitate shunting between the platforms at Leven

They are painted onto the platform

Down that way this morning and haven't noticed tgem on the platform before.They do match up to where coaches 1 to 6 would line up from the 'S' board,strange there only on that platform and I haven't seen them anywhere else.
