Sorry, but why do people call new units 'plastic'? I dont get how say a pendo is a lot more plastic than a MK3? :?

I always wonder this! They are made of METAL like all other trains. They also contain no more of a plastic interior than an MK3 does really!

But much more so than a Mk. 1 or early Mk. 2 - so yes, they are plastic, but a Mk. 3 is as well!

I think the use of the word plastic more refers to the adjective and not the noun, more of the fact that they are perhaps not others would term "traditional" or "conventional" trains.

I think you may be right, Mojo, but dahn sarf, you can't *get* much more traditional than a unit

Can i just say i dont actually hate the all units i just dislike the 220 and the 221, i was just asking Why do they look so cheap and tacky?
