Out of all those, Dudley is the only one I've not been to, although one or two I've only been to the station at.

Very long list of places in the entire UK I've not been to, but let's not go there!

There are probably hundreds of places/stations I have been to by train (ie stepped onto the platform) but not actually left the station. ie, Stranraer Harbour, Fishuard Harbour, Faversham, Nairn, Dingwall, Eastbourne, Hastings, Bescot, Milngavie, Lanark, Dundee, Llanelli, Stourbridge Junction, Stourbridge Town, Smethwick Galton Bridge, Bletchley just to name a few

New updated list, thanks largely to a South Pennines Day Ranger, removing a few, including the two largest from the last version of my list. Had to get a rail replacement bus from Luton as part of the journey back, so saw a fair bit more of the town (none of which inspires to me go back any time in the foreseeable future), but I don't think that warrants its removal from my list, as at the very least I'd say wandering around and exploring a bit is necessary for a visit to count

There are plenty of places I've never been to. Quite possibly the most shocking admission is that I've never once set foot in the country of Wales. I'm pleased to say that in a months time this will no longer be the case.

Of other major places within the UK, I've never been to the following;

Glasgow
Aberdeen
Inverness
Liverpool
Carlisle
Middlesborough
Ipswich
Brighton
Plymouth
Belfast

There are others, but these are the places I'm most keen to visit in the next few years. After that, more minor places will no doubt spring to mind.

Of the top twelve here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_largest_United_Kingdom_settlements_by_population
Glasgow's the only one I'm missing. All of the other eleven I've done charity collections in.

Then again, this is going by city limits. Conurbations are different. For example, the Poole/Bournemouth/Christchurch/Ferndown/etc. conurb is considerably larger than Cardiff, but it appears at 36th and 41st. It's the only major urban area with no motorway, and the only one with just one rail line. (Plymouth and Aberdeen are similar but smaller. And very far away from everywhere else—that's their excuse!)
