Phil Anslow history

I've read numerous times - particularly in reply to the Cwmbran bus station issues a number of years back - about how Phil Anslow has twice sold their operations to Stagecoach. The Wikipedia article for Stagecoach South Wales reads:

"In September 2000 the services of Phil Anslow Travel were purchased with 28 minibuses, giving Stagecoach a greater presence in the Eastern Valleys. In November 2004 Stagecoach in South Wales purchased the remaining part of Phil Anslow Travel with six minibuses and 15 coaches."

I find the story of an operator twice selling elements of their business(es) to the same party in the past, but still operating in competition with that same party today, quite interesting. I was therefore wondering if anyone more local and knowledgeable than I could elaborate on how long Phil Anslow had been operating prior to the first sale and if I would be right in assuming that the first purchase was just bus services which left Phil Anslow as a coach operator, and if come the second purchase were they still just a coach operator or were those six minibuses on service work that they'd started running again?

Also, assuming that second purchase saw the end of the Phil Anslow business, how long was it before the current incarnation was started up and back running bus services?

And finally, the current operation is based out of a site in Varteg with operations centred on Cwmbran and Monmouth - was this the same area they were in prior to the early/mid-2000s sales? If not, where did they call home before?
